A dark-haired Spanish dancer is prominent in the foreground, a black fan open in her hand. She is just about to dance, her skirt raised to free her movement and her body poised to unfurl. The light colors of the dancer’s dress contrast with the darker backdrop. This fierce, dramatic piece is expertly executed and splendid.
