This fun, framed gallery poster features an adorable toy panda playing drums, in the pop culture vein of Warhol’s most famous works. The cute panda drums away, white on green with blue accent, reminiscent of a Hatch Poster. The bold strokes, simple design and small color palette all demonstrate Warhols ability to absorb his influences and produce original work. The lithograph ships in a smooth gold frame.

Andy Warhol (1928-1987) was one of the premier artists of the second half of the 20th century. He began his career in commercial illustration, a foundation which influenced his work and style, dubbed Pop Art, for the rest of his life. The commercial and consumer elements of Pop Art, plus his nontraditional subject matter, made him controversial in his day. His best known works include direct copies of consumer products (Campbell Soup cans, Brillo boxes) and representations of celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor. Today, his legacy inspires street artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Pop artists such as Jeff Koons and numerous musicians, filmmakers and performance artists.
